FAIRFIELD SAVES

United Way of Fairfield County has partnered with PNC Bank to launch a match savings program, "Fairfield $aves". This program was launched during tax season to encourage families to save at a time when they are more likely to have a little cash. Nearly 45% of Ohio households have little or no savings to fall back on in the case of an emergency. United Way is interested in helping families in our community build a savings habit by providing a match to eligible clients who open a match savings account with at least $100. The Fairfield Saves program is part of an ongoing effort to increase financial stability for low and moderate income families in our community.

Interested participants will open a savings account at a local PNC branch. The funds are available for use and bonuses are based on average daily balance to avoid large withdrawals and deposits. Savings bonuses are earned throughout the year:

Two Ways to Save!

Fairfield Saves
1. Get a $40 enrollment bonus at the end of the tax season if your account balance stays above your initial deposit.
2. Get an extra $40 savings bonus after 7 months if you deposit at least $10 every month and keep your account balance above your initial deposit.
3. Get a 3% bonus on the average daily balance of your account at the end of the first year if average is above initial deposit (maximum $30 match)

Holiday Saves
1. Open a Holiday $aves account at your free tax prep appointment and deposit at least $100 of your tax return.
2. Deposit into your account each month as much as you'd like.
3. Get a match savings bonus in November. United Way Fairfield County will match up to $25 dollars per month (max $250).
