FAIRFIELD SAVESUnited Way of Fairfield County has partnered with PNC Bank to launch a match savings program, "Fairfield $aves". This program was launched during tax season to encourage families to save at a time when they are more likely to have a little cash. Nearly 45% of Ohio households have little or no savings to fall back on in the case of an emergency. United Way is interested in helping families in our community build a savings habit by providing a match to eligible clients who open a match savings account with at least $100. The Fairfield Saves program is part of an ongoing effort to increase financial stability for low and moderate income families in our community. Interested participants will open a savings account at a local PNC branch. The funds are available for use and bonuses are based on average daily balance to avoid large withdrawals and deposits. Savings bonuses are earned throughout the year: Two Ways to Save!
If you are interested in opening an account, please call Scott Spangler at United Way, 740-653- 0643. The United Way office must be contacted for further instructions prior to opening an account at PNC.
