VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX PREPARATION

The United Way of Fairfield County seeks Volunteer Income Tax Preparers to assist low- to moderate-income taxpayers by preparing and e-filing their Federal and state returns for free. You can help ensure individuals and families in your community receive the tax credits they are entitled to, avoid costly fees, and receive the money they deserve!

United Way's VITA site utilizes IRS Certified Volunteers to prepare and file tax returns. Free training is provided and the IRS certification training is available in a classroom setting or online. The goal is to continue to increase the number of claims of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) in our county. NO TAX EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
